As some of you may or may not have heard, the CGAs (Certified General Accountants), CMAs (Certified Management Accountants) and CAs (Chartered Accountants) have all agreed to merge Canada-wide!  This is big news, as all members of these three accounting bodies will then be known by a singular designation of “CPA” or Chartered Professional Accountant (NOT to be confused with the U.S. CPA designation).  Going forward you will begin to see ad campaigns for CPAs. Also current accounting body members will be slowly changing their credentials to include that CPA at the end of their names.
